Polyester Web Sling Belt 4 Tonne 2 Metre – Tree Trunk Protector
Description
The Polyester Web Sling Belt (4 Tonne, 2 Metre) is a high-strength polyester webbing strap primarily used as a tree trunk protector during winch recovery operations. When using a winch anchored to a tree, a bare steel wire or synthetic winch rope can cause serious damage to the tree's bark and cambium layer, killing the tree.
By wrapping this wide sling around the tree trunk and attaching the winch hook to the sling's loops, the load is distributed across the full width of the sling, protecting the tree from damage. It is rated to 4 tonnes and is 2 metres in length, suitable for wrapping large-diameter trees commonly found on bush and forest trails.
