The Taigun 1.5 TSI is a more performance-oriented engine with a higher power ceiling, and the factory downpipe remains a restriction that limits how efficiently the turbocharger can expel exhaust gases. The Code6 Racing performance downpipe replaces the stock unit with a smooth, mandrel-bent SS304 tube that dramatically reduces exhaust backpressure at the turbine housing — enabling the larger turbocharger to spool faster, sustain boost pressure more consistently, and deliver the full 150hp and beyond with a more immediate throttle response throughout the rev range. The integrated 304 stainless steel flex pipe absorbs engine rock and thermal expansion, protecting the downpipe from cracking and maintaining exhaust gas sealing at all engine loads.
